RidersB-spokes rickshaw and ad bike riders come from all walks of life – students, office workers, even micro biologists! And pedicabbers are known for being a friendly bunch, with a lively sense of camaraderie, so you quickly get to make friends. To work as a ply-for-hire rider, you simply rent a rickshaw from us, then head out (after training) to attract your own customers. You can work and earn as much as you like, and put your own creative spin on the pedicab business - see our gallery for examples of well-dressed pedicabbers! Some riders earn an hourly rate for driving the lighter ad bikes. For special promotions such as Virgin Media Television, and Hydro Connect Music Festival, we book experienced riders who enjoy interacting with customers. Every rider is an important part of the clients advertising, and their efforts are warmly appreciated by customers. But what’s it really like, out there pedalling on the bumpy streets of Edinburgh? Regular rider and rickshaw trainer Richard reveals all... If you think you might be interested in becoming a rickshaw rider, see our Jobs section for more information. |
