Ethos

Here at b-spokes, we’re passionate about green transport, and proud that our zero pollution rickshaws are helping to make the urban streetscape calmer and safer.

Since this is  a relatively new form of transport, we feel it’s vital to work closely with councils, road services and other rickshaw operators to make sure our service runs smoothly and sustainably.

As Scotland’s largest rickshaw and ad bike company, we’re taking the lead in developing a series of industry guidelines together with Edinburgh City Council. These include individually numbered vehicles, a rickshaw code of conduct, and a central contact for complaints.

We train our riders in safe handling in traffic, rules of the road, and parking and trading regulations. We have full public liability insurance and our riders must hold a street trader’s licence.

We employ two operational managers and two mechanics to look after riders and their vehicles. Rickshaws are fitted with seatbelts, lights and disc brakes, and mechanics are on call during the busy weekend nights.

We always welcome suggestions to help us improve our service. Please get in touch with your feedback by emailing Nino Allenza or ringing 0131 656 6499.
